Welcome, friends and visitors, to Flowood, Mississippi!

We've added a Visitor's section to the Flowood Compass Magazine!

We’re glad you want to find out more about what our “little” city has to offer. (While Flowood’s population was just under 8,000 as of the 2010 Census, there are around 30,000 people in the city during the average business day!) It’s the strong combination of our local businesses and exceptional city leadership that has kept Flowood growing over the last few decades. Our population has nearly tripled since 1990, and business is constantly booming.

But Flowood has more to offer than just its well-known shopping and dining options. We’ve become a center for healthcare in Mississippi, with two renowned hospitals in the city and dozens of family doctors, dentists and specialists. Our local schools are some of the best in the high-ranking Rankin County Public Schools, and we boast a number of private and post-secondary schools as well.

Flowood’s public spaces and recreational areas are second to none as well! The G. Chastaine Flynt Memorial Library is both beautiful and full of activities and resources. The Refuge Golf Course has won several statewide awards, called the “Best Affordable Public Course in Mississippi” by Mississippi Sports Magazine. Flowood even has the only city-owned R/C Park in the country! And our multiple parks offer outdoor fun for visitors of all ages — from organized sporting events to nature trails and playgrounds.

This guide offers a quick overview of the high points of a visit to Flowood, as well as a convenient sheet of emergency information (hospitals, walk-in clinics, auto repair, and more) that you can keep with you during your visit.

Of course, if you know just what you’re looking for, you can always check the listings at the top of the page for specific details about many of our local businesses.

Thanks so much for coming to Find It All in Flowood!
